What are the rules on placing a Capsule Secondary Dwelling ( Granny Flat ) in your back yard, your allowed to have one up to 80 m2.
For residential properties in Queensland, the capsule needs to be within 20 meters from your house, with a set back from the neighbor's fence and back fence of 3 meters, and a side fence of 1 meter. It cannot be larger than 80 square meters (in NSW and VIC, the limit is 60 square meters). The block size should be a minimum of 450 square meters without a development application (DA).
